Directions 2011 is proud to sponsor our 2011 annual golf tournament at the beautiful Shingle Creek Golf Club. The David Harman designed, 18-hole, 7,228 yard championship golf course features undulating fairways and interconnecting waterways bordered by the natural backdrop of dense oaks and pines. 
Shingle Creek takes its name from the pristine creek, which traverses the property. Early Central Florida settlers, circa 1800, were drawn to the area by the abundance of game, fishing, ancient cypress trees, and of course, the beautiful creek. Those early pioneers used the creek well, logging the cypress trees, which were floated down stream to a nearby mill and eventually made into shingles for their homes.
Since its opening, Shingle Creek has garnered numerous awards, including the ranking as one of the "Top 40 Best New Golf Courses in the U.S." by Golfweek Magazine and Voted One of America’s Top 100 Pro Shops in 2006 by Golf Shop magazine. The course was also ranked one of the toughest courses you can play by the Orlando Business Journal and received the prestigious "Greens of Distinction" award from Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine.
